The North Sydney Mall will hold its first ever open house next week from 2-6 pm on April 3.
The aim of the event is for the company that owns and operates the mall, the Montreal-basedEcono-Malls, to work with community organizations, startups, online businesses, community services and companies looking to grow.
Econo-Malls, which owns 40 commercial properties across the country, is looking to rent space in the North Sydney Mall for short- and long-term leases, including offering space for community services and looking at the benefits of pop-up stores. Officials from the company will be in attendance.
It will include a tour of vacant space for lease ranging in size from 500 feet to 15,000 square feet.
The Cape Breton Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Community Business Development Corp. Northside Victoria, Northside Rising, Northside Employment and Resource Centre, and the Cape Breton Partnership will have kiosks set up to answer questions from those looking to start and/or grow their business.
